Why we moved Instafill.ai to GPT-6 Sol
Instafill.ai workloads are often more than a single question and answer. The model may need to understand source documents, work across multiple files, follow detailed instructions, reason about where information belongs, and then produce the completed result.
For that kind of work, reliability, multi-step reasoning, and processing speed all matter. OpenAI reports improvements in each of those areas with GPT-6 Sol compared with GPT-5.6 Sol.
1. More reliable factual output
On OpenAI’s internal factuality evaluation, GPT-6 Sol makes about half as many mistakes as GPT-5.6 Sol.
Factual reliability is particularly important for document workflows. When an AI model is reading source files and using that information to complete forms, the goal is not simply to generate plausible text. It needs to work from the information it was given and carry it accurately into the final document.
2. Stronger on multi-step tasks
OpenAI also reports stronger performance on professional, multi-step work. That aligns closely with how the Instafill.ai Agent operates.
A single Agent request can involve several steps: understanding what the user wants, identifying the relevant form and source files, extracting the needed information, deciding how that information maps into the document, and completing the form.
The more of that process the model can handle reliably in one workflow, the less the user has to break a task into separate instructions.
3. Faster for production workloads
OpenAI describes GPT-6 Sol as bringing much of GPT-6 Astra’s capability into a faster model designed to support work at scale.
We’ve made Sol our primary working model for the demanding AI workloads across Instafill.ai. Processing speed matters when AI is being used repeatedly on real documents rather than only for occasional conversations, especially when a workflow includes larger forms or several source files.
What changes for Instafill.ai users
There is no migration or new setup process. GPT-6 Sol is now used across Instafill.ai, so you can continue working with the same forms and Agent workflows you already have.
If there’s a form or Agent workflow you haven’t tried recently, this is a good time to run it again. The model underneath the workflow has changed, while the way you use Instafill.ai stays the same.
Running on OpenAI’s highest standard API usage tier
Instafill.ai operates at OpenAI’s Tier 5, the highest standard API usage tier.
We’ve been building on OpenAI for years, and today its models are used at production scale across our document processing and Agent workflows. Moving to GPT-6 Sol is part of continuing to use the strongest model that fits those production workloads.
OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default.
